September Shenanigans!

John's 13th month was most notably the one where he mastered his walking skills. He is so curious, which is great because this month we didn't stop to look back! We kicked off September with a family trip to Lake Toxaway, NC, to celebrate Labor Day (John took his first boat ride!), rolled into a super visit from Memom and PopPop, then hopped a plane to Chicago to introduce John to the University of Notre Dame (where we had so much fun hanging with Bill, Diane, the Corbett Jrs., The Freund Ladies, and Granny), made a quick (but fabulous) stop to visit with the Chicago Bradys, and finally made it back to Charlotte just in time to end the month with a fun visit from Granny on our home turf! What a month?!

Some photos from the month...

John's first boat ride.
We took a trip to the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte.
John's first ride at the Greek Festival in Charlotte with Zach and Lauren!
At Latta Park with Memom and PopPop.

A second attempt at a birthday celebration didn't go super well :(

John is really into pointing at everything this month - very aware of what is going on around him!

Sig, the dog, stopped by for a visit this month, too!
What?
Cousins in South Bend! Where is Emma?? John loved hanging with the girls!
Hi Lily!
Playing ball with Chi Brady Boys!

Apparently, John hasn't quite acquired a taste for lemons...
Cowfish with Granny
Staring contest with Granny!
The Discovery Place in Charlotte is one of John's favorite places to go!

...no, he didn't ask her if she wanted a push. It didn't end well.

So. Happy.
Silly.

When Zach comes over to play, they fight over Goldfish! Too funny.
