Ready for Christmas!

We've been spending a lot of time chillaxing at home and playing at the park gearing up for the holidays and the colder weather up north. We can't wait to see our family and friends so soon!

One new fun development of the recent weeks is that John is starting to fill in the "blanks" when we read his favorite books. For example, in "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," on the second page - "One Sunday morning, the warm sun came up and..." John chimes in with "POP"!!! And later in the book John tells us that the caterpillar ate through one "APPIE!!!!"

A few new words in the rotation: circle, duck, and zipper!

Merry Christmas and peace on earth, especially. xox

Winter?

Thanksgiving has come and gone. We celebrated quietly here in Charlotte - nice! Now it is supposed to be Winter, but the weather in Charlotte has felt a lot more like early Fall. No complaints, though, as it has meant plenty of outdoor play for us!

John seems to be adding about one word per week, lately - "soccey" (for soccer), "car," and "uh,oh!", are among the newest (check out the videos on YouTube). On a good day, John will even blow a kiss, but he is pretty stingey with those, so I've yet to catch it on video. Also, he loves to dance and takes it very seriously. At his 15-month check-up, John was 32"long and weighed 25lbs!

Some photos from the past couple of weeks...

John loves chocolate milk!

GO IRISH!
