Here I Come, London!

As John approaches the 10 months old mark later this week, he has started his Olympic training for London in July. Check out this video from yesterday...

He also took his first trip to the Jersey Shore to meet his friends Izzy and Liv Fishman!

Some more photos from the week...

What? I'm just making some phone calls.

John's first chair tunnel/fort! So cool.

9 Months Old - Craziness

Whoa! Month 9 has been a whirlwind!

The recap: John went to his first wedding in Connecticut (Congrats, John + Erin). We kept traveling north to spend some time in Boston with Granny and those crazy Murillos. Now that John is getting around better, he seemed to have a lot of fun watching his cousins, Evie and Cate, be their funny selves. It was there that John tried Cheerios and he was psyched! He loves Cheerios, mostly he loves feeding himself, and that seemed to initiate some more fun food introductions (toast, bagel, pasta, strips of banana, and tastes of so much more). At John’s 9-month check-up we learned that John is 21lbs. 3oz, and 29” tall – a growing boy, for sure. Later in the month we were happy to witness the baptism of Anthony and Ben (Congrats, boys). On May 22nd, just two days before John’s 9-month Birthday, he finally cut his first tooth (phew, no dentures needed), and just a few days later, the second one popped up. Too cute! Then, for Memorial Day Weekend, we took our first family vacation to Skytop Lodge in the Poconos, PA. So many firsts for John while we were there (you’ll see them in the photos below), and though Fernando, our server and friend for the weekend, was convinced he could get John to give him a high-five, it was a failed attempt. John loved Fernando none-the-less. This month John also began his first gym class (which is essentially a padded room where John can go crazy, because that’s what John loves to do best). He really loves watching all of the other children, and is so proud of himself when he does things like pop bubbles, or stand and walk between the parallel bars. Finally, we learned our next move will be to Charlotte, North Carolina, so we took a weekend trip there (John was a rock star on both flights) and found a new place to rest our heads. We all loved the city; John was so happy the whole weekend. It made us excited for the move, although we will most certainly miss the proximity to our family and friends in the Northeast. It was a great month. John is a happy little guy and we’re amazed at how much he changes every day!

Too many photos from the month…
